Stillness: Study 10

Peace in the world directly corresponds with the peace that we cultivate within ourselves. We are important and how we feel is important. Not just to ourselves but to all—collectively. All turmoil generates from our own hearts and minds. I am mindful of my peace. How can I nurture this peace?

My peace within becomes my peace without.

I take a deep breath; I am still. I breathe out and let go of all fear, worry, and wrong perceptions. I take a long breath in; I am aware of my peace. I seek to nurture it. I exhale and my stillness expands. I tap into my core and am aware - I understand that I must be mindful of this feeling as I move into my day - guarding my boundaries - careful with what I see, hear, and say so that this peace within becomes my peace without.

By the way we live our daily life we contribute to peace or to war. It is mindfulness that can tell me that I am going in the direction of war and it is the energy of mindfulness that can help me to make a turn and to go in the direction of peace.
— Thich Nhat Hanh

Making a Connection Through Art Journaling

I am posting this short video showing you how I cultivate stillness through art and nature. Enjoy!

The inner is foundation of the outer. The still is master of the restless. The Sage travels all day yet never leaves his inner treasure.

Outward Peace is useless without inner Peace.
