Pause
Reflection:
I pause. In my mad rush to accomplish everything I desire to do, I stop and take a breath. I pause to reflect, and to center, and to connect. I pause by the river, and the sound of the water heals me. I pause by a grand old tree, and the rustling leaves shield me. I pause to consider a bird song, and I am encouraged and delighted. I stop to watch the light of the day glide slowly across the mountain, and I feel comforted, and at peace, and safe. I pause at a puddle, and in the reflection, I see the world spinning, and a bird pass overhead, and me. I pause today. In my hurry to accomplish, I stop to breathe. I pause to reflect, and to center, and to connect. I pause to see you, and I know I am not alone. In the inhale I rest - and with the exhale, I give thanks.
